Breathe easier, even in tight spaces.
In confined space entry and confined space rescue situations, your safety equipment must operate quickly and flawlessly. 3M has developed an extensive line of high-quality and rugged rescue and retrieval systems that meets confined space safety needs. And because no two job sites or situations are identical, we desiged customized solutions to ensure no one gets left behind.
Confined space entry systems must be made from high-quality, durable materials that can withstand exposure to the elements and should be versatile enough to be adapted and adjusted to extreme environments and uneven terrain. Discover how 3M systems aid in fall arrest, rescue, man-riding and material handing while remaining lightweight and easy to transport, set up and store.
Typical mechanical devices include man-rated winches and 3-way self-retracting lifelines with both fall protection and emergency rescue winch capabilities.
Provides a basic hoist and a passive restraint guardrail system protecting companion workers and bystanders.
There are two different types of confined space rescue systems: vertical and horizontal. For example, in a confined space such as a manhole in a street, you'll require vertical confined-space rescue equipment. For a confined space that you enter from the side, such as a tank, you'll need side-entry or horizontal confined-space safety equipment. Since confined spaces vary in size, shape and location, there is no standard or typical application, which is why we offer so many diferent types of confined space rescue systems that can be customized to fit your unique needs.
Retrieving incapacitated workers and bringing them to safety makes the mechanical device one of the most critical parts of your rescue system. For your unique requirements, options include lifeline type and length. In some situations, you may need a secondary or back-up system, too.
