3M™ Polyurethane Protective Tape 8658DL is a transparent, flame-retardant tape made from an exceptionally tough polyurethane elastomer that resists punctures, tears, and abrasions.
3M™ Polyurethane Protective Tape 8658DL is uniquely formulated to pass the burn resistance requirements of FAR 25.853 when tested as a free standing tape. Applied to aircraft floor panels, this product establishes an excellent barrier from fluids and helps prevent liquids from causing corrosion of the floor system. 3M™ Polyurethane Protective Tape 8658DL incorporates a specially formulated, pressure sensitive adhesive for fast and easy application. This product is supplied in a dual liner configuration consisting of a polyethylene adhesive liner and a polyester top liner used as an aid for application. These liners are removed after installation.
