Scotch® Thread Sealant Tape 6197 is a high temperature, stable, PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene) based tape, pipe thread sealant that provides a leak-proof seal.

This fluorocarbon resin film tape is designed to provide a leak resistant seal when used as a pipe thread sealant (similar to plumber's tape).

Electrical construction
Used to form a leak proof seal and help prevent cross threading on pipe threads
