  • Conductor size ranges: 5 kV: 500-750 kcmil 8 kV: 350-700 kcmil 15 kV: 4/0 AWG-500 kcmil 25/28 kV: 2/0 AWG-250 kcmil

3M™ Cold Shrink QT-III Silicone Rubber Terminations are a one-piece, non-skirted silicone rubber termination that comes with factory-applied, pre-positioned Hi-K stress control layers underneath the insulator. Its short installed length is excellent for installations in limited spaces, such as those with motors, starters, switchgear, variable speed drives, transformers and similar connections which often reduce the need to add auxiliary boxes when enclosure space is limited. The 3M™ Cold Shrink QT-III Silicone Rubber Termination, 7654-S-4 has a conductor size range for 5 kV: 500-750 kcmil, 8 kV: 350-700 kcmil, 15 kV: 4/0 AWG-500 kcmil and 25/28 kV: 2/0 AWG-250 kcmil.

Each kit contains: One 3M™ Hi-K Tracking Resistant Silicone Rubber Termination, two Scotch® Mastic Sealing Strips 2230, and one Instruction Sheet.

Suggested applications
  • Terminating solid dielectric Jacketed Concentric Neutral (JCN) and Concentric Neutral (CN) power cables
  • Designed for solid dielectric insulations, such as polyethylene, XLPE and EPR
  • Free-hanging or bracket-mounting arrangements
  • Compact design provides for easier installation in restricted spaces
  • Switchgear, transformer, motor lead, bus and similar connections
  • For outdoor use
