The Scotch® Electrical Shielding Tape is an all-metal, flat, open-weave shielding mesh that is compatible with power cable insulations and all high-voltage splicing and terminating materials.
The Scotch® Electrical Shielding Tape is a conformable and temperature stable mesh that elongates easily. Scotch® Electrical Shielding Tape should not be used as a ground strap or jumper wire. Its ampacity is not great enough to carry large fault currents. For ground strap applications please refer to Scotch® Electrical Grounding Braid 25.
Suggested applications
- To provide shielding for cable joints on shielded power cables
- To make the conductive portion of the stress cone on power cable termination
- Smooth connector area in oil-filled cables
