The Scotch® Electrical Shielding Tape is an all-metal, flat, open-weave shielding mesh that is compatible with power cable insulations and all high-voltage splicing and terminating materials.

The Scotch® Electrical Shielding Tape is a conformable and temperature stable mesh that elongates easily. Scotch® Electrical Shielding Tape should not be used as a ground strap or jumper wire. Its ampacity is not great enough to carry large fault currents. For ground strap applications please refer to Scotch® Electrical Grounding Braid 25.

Suggested applications

To provide shielding for cable joints on shielded power cables
To make the conductive portion of the stress cone on power cable termination
Smooth connector area in oil-filled cables
