  • No torches, heat or special tools required
  • Hi-K stress control
  • Excellent tracking resistance, UV resistance and water-shedding properties
  • Includes everything required to make one single phase termination (except lug)
  • Also includes high ampacity ground connection

3M™ Cold Shrink QT-III Silicone Rubber Terminations are a one-piece, non-skirted silicone rubber termination that comes with factory-applied, pre-positioned Hi-K stress control layers underneath the insulator. Its short installed length is excellent for installations in limited spaces, such as those with motors, starters, switchgear, variable speed drives, transformers and similar connections which often reduce the need to add auxiliary boxes when enclosure space is limited. The 3M™ Cold Shrink QT-III Silicone Rubber Termination Kit 7654-S-HSG-4 has a conductor size range for 5 to 28kV.

Each kit contains: Three 3M™ Hi-K Tracking Resistant Silicone Rubber Terminations, three 3M™ Pre-Formed Ground Braids, three 3M™ Constant Force Springs, six Scotch® Mastic Sealing Strips 2230, one 3M™ Cable Preparation Kit and one Instruction Sheet.

Suggested applications
  • Terminating solid dielectric power cable with tape shield, wire-over-tape shield and longitudinally corrugated shield
  • Designed for solid dielectric insulations, such as polyethylene, XLPE and EPR
  • Free-hanging or bracket-mounting arrangements
  • Compact design provides for easier installation in restricted spaces
  • Switchgear, transformer, motor lead, bus and similar connections
  • For outdoor use
