3M™ Construction Seaming Tape 8087 is a polypropylene sheathing tape that is coated with an acrylic, pressure sensitive adhesive. It is designed for use as a closure system and vapour seal on all interior and exterior sheathing materials.
3M™ Construction Seaming Tape 8087 is designed to seal seams on house wrap and insulated sheathing products. It can also be used to seam polyethylene vapour barrier products as well as to repair holes and tears in building materials. Using the tape as a seam can aid in reducing air infiltration which can improve the effectiveness of insulation and reducing heating and cooling costs. If the tape is applied at during cold temperatures, adhesion will increase as the temperature rises. It provides a UV resistant backing and has a low moisture transmission rate. The 3M™ Construction Seaming Tape 8087 can be used as a closure system and vapour seal on interior and exterior sheathing materials.
