3M™ Scotch-Weld™ Instant Adhesive Surface Activator is a one-part surface accelerator designed for use with instant adhesives. We engineered this adhesive accelerator to improve the cure speed of instant adhesives and help quickly produce long-lasting bonds and exceptional performance.
A one-part surface accelerator, 3M™ Scotch-Weld™ Instant Adhesive Surface Activator is designed to accelerate the cure speed of instant adhesives to create fast, strong results. This general-purpose instant adhesive accelerator produces long-lasting bonds and offers exceptional performance. Instant adhesives are cyanoacrylate-based formulas that are strong, fast-acting glues used in industrial and household applications. In general, they are an acrylic resin that rapidly polymerizes in the presence of moisture, forming long, strong chains, joining the bonded surfaces together. Cyanoacrylate adhesives should be applied thinly, with pressure put on the bond for a few seconds, to ensure that the reaction proceeds rapidly and a strong bond forms within a reasonable time.
