The Scotch® Self-Fusing Silicone Rubber Electrical Tape 70 is a 12 mil (0.3 mm) thick, premium-grade, electrical tape with silicone rubber backing. This tape is used as a base tape layer for easy re-enter connections. It withstands temperatures up to 356°F (180°C).
This Scotch® Self-Fusing Silicone Rubber Electrical Tape 70 is used as a protective overwrap for terminating high voltage cables.
Suggested applications
- Pre-wrap, low and medium-voltage connections for clean re-entry. (e.g. motor lead connections or split-bolt connectors)
- Overwrap for protection of terminating high-voltage cables against arcing and tracking
