3M™ Unitek™ Lateral Development Archwires put you in control to achieve Platinum Proportion smiles – even with variable cases. 3M™ Self-Ligating Appliance Systems with 3M™ SmartClip™ SL3 Bracket clip technology allow you to use your existing archwire sequencing to achieve the desired lateral development for individual patients. Lateral development can help achieve a Platinum Proportion smile, which is the esthetic result that occurs when properly selected archwires completely express the lateral dimension of the upper arch, creating a gradation that exceeds the traditional Golden Proportion. A unique feature of the 3M™ Unitek™ Lateral Development System is that the archwires have circular anterior contours available in three coordinating sizes with approximate radii of 28 mm, 26 mm and 24 mm.
