3M™ Nextel™ Structural Roving 720 is comprised of 3M™ Nextel™ 720 Grade Continuous Filament Ceramic Oxide Fibre that is designed to maintain strength under a variety of very high temperature conditions. The 3M™ Nextel™ roving portfolio outperforms the useful limits of many other fibres for extremely high temperature strength in industrial, aerospace and other applications.

The 3M™ Nextel™ Structural Roving 720 is comprised of continuous filament ceramic oxide fibre. The roving styles are 1500, 3000 and 10000 denier. This material is designed to maintain strength while withstanding continuous high temperatures. It is ideal as a fibre reinforcement for extremely high temperature composites. This roving can be used as an input material to make textiles to meet user needs. 3M™ Nextel™ Ceramic Fibres represent a major advancement in refractory fibre technology. The roving can be used to make a variety of ceramic textiles including fabrics, tapes, sleevings and sewing threads. Because the fibres are flexible, continuous and strong, textiles can be produced without the aid of other fibres or wire inserts.

Suggested applications
