Highlights
  • Can withstand temperatures up to 225°F (107°C)
  • Features polycoated kraft paper liner
  • Offers initial high tack to many open and closed cell foams
  • Excellent peel adhesion and shear strength

3M™ Double Coated Differential Adhesive Tape L2+DCD is a 6.7-mil (0.17 mm) two-sided tape that provides excellent adhesion to multiple substrates. The face side adhesive bonds to many open and closed foam surfaces while the backside adhesive provides excellent adhesion to low surface energy materials.

3M™ Double Coated Differential Adhesive Tape L2+DCD features 6.5 mils (.017 mm) of adhesive coated on a 6.2 mils (.14 mm), 83 lb (37.6 kg) polycoated kraft paper liner. This double coated tape is ideal for laminating applications where two different materials are being bonded to each other. It is recommended where dimensional stability is valued over adhesive conformability and wet out during lamination. It can withstand temperatures up to 225°F (107°C). The faceside adhesive offers excellent peel adhesion and shear strength to foam such as EVA, microcellular urethane, and cross linked PE. The backside adhesive offers good adhesion to low surface energy plastics such as polyethylene (PE) and polypropylene (PP). The tan 83 lb (37.6 kg) polycoated kraft paper liner provides die cutting and converting process capability.

Suggested applications
  • Ideal for laminating applications where two different materials are being bonded to each other
  • Offers a reliable bond on polyurethane (PU) ether, PU ester, cross-linked polyethylene foam, EPDM foam, neoprene foam, nitrile foam, and microcellular foam
  • Recommended where dimensional stability is valued over adhesive conformability and wet-out during lamination
