Highlights
  • Improved scorch resistance at high molding temperatures
  • Intermediate viscosity fluoroelastomer (FKM) with 66% fluorine
  • Proprietary incorporated cure technology may help save time and improve throughput
  • Clean running with excellent mould release and improved cure technology, resulting in more consistent part size from successive molding cycles

3M™ Dyneon™ Fluoroelastomer FE 5640Q is an intermediate viscosity copolymer of vinylidene fluoride and hexafluoropropylene with 66% fluorine. This fluoroelastomer (FKM) has excellent mould release and improved cure technology, resulting in more consistent part size from successive moulding cycles.

3M™ Dyneon™ Fluoroelastomer FE 5640Q is a copolymer of vinylidene fluoride and hexafluoropropylene. It can be compounded using standard water cooled internal mixers or two-roll mills with standard fillers and ingredients utilized in typical fluoroelastomer formulations. The dry ingredients should be blended before adding to the masticated gum.
