3M™ Dyneon™ Fluoroelastomer FE 5840Q is an intermediate viscosity terpolymer with 70.1% fluorine. This product has a proprietary incorporated cure technology as well as broad chemical and temperature resistance. These features make it well-suited for producing O-rings, gaskets, custom and complex shapes, and parts for automotive fuel system applications.
3M™ Dyneon™ Fluoroelastomer FE 5840Q is a terpolymer of vinylidene fluoride, hexafluoropropylene and tetrafluoroethylene. It can be compounded using standard water cooled internal mixers or two-roll mills with standard fillers and ingredients utilized in typical fluoroelastomer formulations. The dry ingredients should be blended before adding to the masticated gum.
