3M™ Nextel™ Sewing Thread 440

3M™ Nextel™ Sewing Thread 440 is a high-temperature, machine-sewable thread made from a combination of 3M™ Nextel™ Ceramic Fibres and rayon. Ideal for sewing 3M™ Nextel™ Textiles and other high-temperature fabrics, this thread offers heat resistance up to 2372°F (1300°C).

3M™ Nextel™ Sewing Thread 440 is wrapped with rayon fibre and has an organic coating, imparting resiliency, abrasion resistance, and improved sewability. These materials are designed to be strong and flexible enough to be sewn under specialized sewing conditions while maintaining strength and flexibility. This thread may be useful for electrical or thermal insulating items that require stitched, quilted, or sewn connections such as blankets, pillows, and articles that are often filled with high-temperature bulk fibre/insulation products.
