3M™ Attachment Tape 4981, Clear, is a 0.20 mm thick, medium-density, clear, heat-activated tape system used to attach weatherstrip and/or gasket seals for automotive and industrial applications.

3M™ Attachment Tape 4981 is a 0.20 mm thick, clear acrylic tape constructed with two different adhesives, specifically a heat-activated adhesive on the non-liner-side and a pressure-sensitive acrylic adhesive on the liner side. The heat-activated adhesive forms an immediate, consistent and durable bond to most EPDM formulations and Santoprene® materials. The pressure-sensitive adhesive delivers high adhesion and holding strength to many surfaces, including automotive paints and metals. Tape comes with a polyethylene liner for an easy one-piece release for efficient application. Santoprene® is a trademark of Exxon Mobil Corporation.
