3M™ Dynamar™ Polymer Processing Additive FX 9614 is a free flowing granular form of a fluoropolymer designed for use at very low levels to improve the processing of thermoplastics. This processing additive helps eliminate melt fracture, helps reduce or eliminate die build-up, and helps reduce waste and equipment downtime.
The 3M™ Dynamar™ Polymer Processing Additive FX 9614 exhibits exceptional commercial utility in low melt index film-grade (LLPDE) and high density polyethylene (HDPE). This product is especially effective in polyolefin resins containing antiblock agents, basic additives (such as hindered amine light stabilizers), titanium dioxide-based pigments, and other inorganic additives. It can also be used at very low levels to reduce extruder die build-up when processing LLDPE and other polyolefin resins. It permits processors to use high strength resins which otherwise could not be processed on available equipment. As a processing additive, it can help reduce or eliminate melt fracture and can reduce extruder torque. Through optimization of the extrusion process, the use of FX 9614 may also allow for an increase in output, and can yield films with enhanced and balanced bi-directional physical properties, and improved clarity and gloss.
